HouseHum Product Schedule

Product-specific Android schedule. This schedule supplements the separate Terms and Privacy Policy for package com.ryantinklepaugh.househum.

Product purpose

HouseHum is an appliance baseline-and-maintenance evidence record that documents one repeatable phone placement and operating state, qualifies a personal baseline with three agreeing captures, compares later checks, and preserves service events with honest before/after links.

Current data and permission boundary

appliance name, type, location, notes, documented phone placement, and operating state
quality-qualified 27-band spectral fingerprints, relative levels, detected tonal peaks, baseline sessions, repeatability assessments, and condition-check results
maintenance or service events, linked pre/post-service evidence, reminder cadence, and locally generated PDF/CSV reports
purchase entitlement and legal-choice evidence

Microphone access activates only after the user starts a foreground capture. Temporary PCM samples are reduced on-device to a 27-band fingerprint and discarded; no replayable recording is retained and HouseHum never listens in the background. Notification permission is optional and used only for a reminder cadence the user chooses.

Required safety boundary

A changed or drifting result is an observation about relative sound, not a fault code or safety assessment. Placement, room noise, appliance cycle, load, nearby equipment, Android audio processing, and a different microphone can alter the result. HouseHum does not diagnose machinery or claim calibrated sound-level accuracy. If equipment seems unsafe, stop using it and follow manufacturer guidance or contact a qualified technician.

Limited mode

After a decline or withdrawal, the following remain available:

read-only appliance, baseline, condition-check, drift, and maintenance records
local non-diagnostic PDF and fingerprint CSV export plus deletion controls
legal, support, purchase-management, and purchase-restoration controls

The following remain unavailable until the current documents are affirmatively accepted:

new microphone captures, baselines, condition checks, and post-service checks
new or edited appliance, service, reminder, and capture-protocol records
new purchases and other write actions

Legal choices and verification

A decline or withdrawal takes effect locally at once and remains limited without recurring prompts. A current affirmative choice unlocks ordinary app access after it is durably stored on the device; signed-receipt delivery may retry in the background. Android proof is recorded separately from iOS proof. A service outage does not silently convert a decline into acceptance or relabel an iOS receipt as Android.
