Agreement for one product. These Terms apply only to CordCheck (com.ryantinklepaugh.cordcheck). Acceptance is recorded against this document’s exact version and SHA-256 hash, the separate product Privacy Policy, and the separate Product Schedule.
Product-specific schedule incorporated into these Terms
Product-specific document. This schedule applies only to CordCheck (com.ryantinklepaugh.cordcheck). It supplements the separate CordCheck Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, each with its own immutable version and SHA-256 hash.
Product purpose
CordCheck estimates the volume of a delivered firewood stack or bulk-material pile, such as mulch, topsoil, or gravel, from an on-device LiDAR scan or manually entered dimensions, and compares that estimate with the quantity the user says was ordered.
An estimate, not a legal-for-trade measurement
CordCheck is not a legal-for-trade measuring instrument and is not certified, verified, or sealed under any weights-and-measures program. Every result is an estimate expressed as a range with a stated uncertainty, not an official determination of a cord, fraction of a cord, cubic yard, or other regulated sale quantity. Commercial firewood and bulk-material sales can be governed by state or local weights-and-measures law, and an official quantity determination requires the method that law prescribes, not this app.
Scan and input limits
Scan quality depends on device capability, lighting, distance, surface reflectivity, moisture, tarps or coverings, irregular stacking, and how much of the stack or pile the user can capture. Air gaps, voids, hollow centers, mixed piece sizes, and loose versus stacked assumptions materially change how a scanned or entered volume relates to the quantity sold. Manual entries can be wrong. Review each result, its stated range, and the assumptions shown before relying on it.
Disputes, certificates, and lawful use
A dispute report or seller certificate is a user-prepared record of the app's estimate and the details the user entered. It is not a legal determination that a delivery was short or complete, an accusation Uncommon Weather makes or endorses, legal advice, or a substitute for a contract, receipt, official measurement, or weights-and-measures complaint. The user is responsible for using reports and certificates honestly and lawfully and for verifying important quantities through an official or contractual method when a sale, refund, or legal claim depends on them.
Free access, Full Unlock, and CordCheck Pro
The free measurement limits are those shown in the app. A one-time Full Unlock purchase can remove the measurement limit, and CordCheck Pro can add delivery logs, dispute PDF reports, and seller certificates as described at purchase. The Apple purchase sheet controls the current product type, price, trial eligibility, duration, and renewal terms. A purchase adds features and record-keeping; it does not make an estimate more accurate.
Limited mode
After a decline or withdrawal, the user can review available saved measurement records read-only, read legal and support information, and manage or restore an Apple purchase. New scans and manual measurements, new or edited delivery logs, report and certificate generation, purchases, and Pro actions can remain unavailable until the current documents are affirmatively accepted.
Current product data boundary
The following categories and operational boundaries are specific to CordCheck and form part of this schedule.
- Transient camera frames and LiDAR depth data used during an on-device scan
- Derived stack or pile geometry, dimensions, estimated volume ranges, uncertainty state, and scan-quality measures
- Manually entered dimensions, material or wood-type selections, ordered quantity, price, seller name, and delivery notes the user records
- Saved measurement records, delivery logs, and comparison history
- Private CloudKit identifiers and synchronization state
- User-requested dispute PDF reports and seller certificates
- Anonymous App Store purchase and RevenueCat offering, transaction, purchase, and entitlement metadata
- Privacy-minimal legal-choice evidence
- Support correspondence deliberately sent to Uncommon Weather
Camera, LiDAR, and on-device scene geometry
CordCheck uses the camera and, on supported devices, the LiDAR sensor only while the user performs a scan in the foreground. Camera frames and depth data are processed entirely on the device to reconstruct the scanned stack or pile, are used transiently, and are not uploaded to Uncommon Weather, RevenueCat, an advertising service, or an artificial-intelligence API.
A saved measurement stores the derived geometry, dimensions, estimated volume range, uncertainty state, and quality measures, together with details the user enters. Scene reconstruction can also be skipped entirely by entering dimensions manually.
Measurement records and private iCloud synchronization
Measurement records, delivery logs, seller details, and settings remain on the device and can synchronize through the user's private CloudKit database. Apple processes that content under the user's iCloud account. Uncommon Weather does not operate a product-data server, does not receive those records merely because synchronization is enabled, and cannot inspect or restore the private database.
Dispute reports and seller certificates
CordCheck creates a dispute PDF report or a seller certificate on the device only after the user requests it. The document contains the measurement details the user chose to include and is handed to the Apple share interface; copies saved, sent, or uploaded remain with the chosen destination or recipient until removed there.
Purchases and legal choices
Apple processes purchases and payment credentials. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app-user identifier and limited app, device, offering, transaction, purchase, and entitlement metadata needed to present products, restore purchases, provide aggregate subscription analytics, and determine Full Unlock and Pro access. CordCheck does not set an email or account identifier in RevenueCat and does not send scans, geometry, measurements, delivery logs, seller details, or reports to it.
The separate Uncommon Weather legal-choice service receives only signed, privacy-minimal evidence of an acceptance, decline, or withdrawal. It does not receive CordCheck scans, measurements, delivery logs, or report content.
Retention and deletion
Records remain locally and in private CloudKit until the user deletes them with available controls, uses Delete All App Data, removes the app, or changes Apple storage, subject to synchronization behavior. Deleting app data does not erase a report or certificate already shared, Apple or RevenueCat purchase records, provider security records, or privacy-minimal legal-choice evidence.
Legal choices and verification
A decline or withdrawal takes effect locally at once and remains limited without a recurring prompt. A user can review the current documents and affirmatively accept from Legal & Privacy settings. A current affirmative acceptance takes effect after it is durably saved on the device and unlocks main-app access while signed-receipt delivery retries in the background. A non-terminal network, Apple, or service outage does not lock the main app or create another prompt. Widgets, Live Activities, and other extension surfaces that require a verifiable cross-process receipt may wait until the server-signed receipt is received and verified. If the server explicitly rejects the exact saved acceptance as terminal, the client quarantines that failed record and returns to the appropriate decision or limited-state screen. A current choice is not repeatedly requested.

General contractual provisions
1. Operator and documents
These CordCheck Terms of Service (“Terms”) are between you and UNCOMMON WEATHER LLC, with a notice address at 1212 N Walker Ave Apt 207, Oklahoma City, OK 73103, United States (“Uncommon Weather,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). Contact team@uncommonweather.com for support, legal notices, and privacy requests.
These Terms incorporate the CordCheck Privacy Policy, the separately hashed CordCheck Product Schedule, and mandatory Apple platform rules. Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies unless Apple or the App Store listing identifies a valid custom EULA. If documents conflict, mandatory law controls, then Apple terms where they must control, then the Product Schedule for product-specific matters, then these Terms.
2. Adult eligibility and agreement
You must be at least 18 and accept these Terms for yourself or for a business you are authorized to represent. CordCheck is not offered for use by a minor. No birth date is collected; the acceptance flow records only a broad adult age band and acceptor role.
Clicking “Agree & Continue” after checking the agreement control creates an affirmative acceptance tied to the displayed document versions and hashes. Declining leaves legal, support, export or deletion, and Apple purchase-management or restoration controls available as described in the Product Schedule, but disables ordinary product operation.
3. Limited license and acceptable use
Subject to these Terms and any required payment, Uncommon Weather grants you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use CordCheck through an Apple-authorized distribution channel. You may not resell, sublicense, bypass licensing, reverse engineer except where law permits, introduce malicious code, interfere with services, violate Apple platform rules, infringe another person’s rights, or use the app to break the law.
4. Ownership, content, and feedback
Uncommon Weather and its licensors retain rights in CordCheck, its brand, design, code, documentation, and services. You retain your rights in content and records you create or capture and are responsible for having permission to use or share them. Feedback may be used without restriction or compensation.
5. Apple purchases, renewals, and refunds
CordCheck may offer a one-time Full Unlock non-consumable purchase and CordCheck Pro monthly and annual auto-renewable subscriptions through Apple. The Apple purchase sheet controls the current product type, price, trial eligibility, duration, renewal terms, and included features. Apple handles billing, cancellation, refunds, and payment credentials. RevenueCat supplies anonymous offering, purchase, and entitlement state but does not process payment.
An auto-renewable subscription continues until cancelled through the Apple ID subscription controls. Cancellation normally stops future renewal after the current paid period and does not automatically refund an earlier charge. Request an eligible refund through Apple. Mandatory consumer rights continue to apply, and a full refund may revoke the associated paid entitlement.
6. Product data, exports, and backups
CordCheck stores measurement records, derived stack and pile geometry, estimated volume ranges, manually entered dimensions, material and wood-type selections, ordered quantities, seller details, delivery logs, notes, and settings locally with SwiftData. When iCloud is available, those records can synchronize through the user's private CloudKit database. Camera frames and LiDAR depth data are used transiently on the device during a scan and are not uploaded. CordCheck has no product account or developer-operated product-data server, and the developer cannot inspect or restore the private CloudKit database. User-requested dispute reports and seller certificates remain wherever the user saves or shares them. Private CloudKit synchronization is not a guaranteed backup.
7. Apple and other service providers
CordCheck may rely on Apple, iOS, ARKit and LiDAR scene-reconstruction frameworks, the App Store, StoreKit, private CloudKit, RevenueCat for anonymous purchase and entitlement state, and Supabase only for the separate privacy-minimal legal-choice service. It has no developer-operated measurement backend. Those providers apply their own terms and can change, fail, restrict, or discontinue service.
8. Updates, availability, and termination
We may update CordCheck for security, law, policy, compatibility, reliability, or product reasons. We do not promise uninterrupted, error-free, or permanent availability. We may suspend network services for abuse, security risk, legal requirements, or material breach. You may stop using the app at any time.
Declining materially updated terms places the app in limited mode rather than deleting prior acceptance or local data. Ownership, payment obligations, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnification, and disputes survive termination where applicable.
9. Disclaimers
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CORDCHECK AND ITS SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” UNCOMMON WEATHER DISCLAIMS IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, AND UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION. Product-specific limitations appear in the Product Schedule.
10. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, UNCOMMON WEATHER AND ITS MEMBERS, MANAGERS, CONTRACTORS, TRANSFERORS, AND LICENSORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES; LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OPPORTUNITY; OR SUBSTITUTE SERVICES, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO CORDCHECK OR THESE TERMS, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATED TO CORDCHECK WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP DURING THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM OR (B) US $100. These limits do not apply where prohibited, including non-waivable liability for fraud, willful misconduct, or certain personal injury and consumer rights.
11. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you will defend and indemnify Uncommon Weather from third-party claims, damages, and reasonable costs arising from unlawful use, content you had no right to use or share, infringement, intentional misuse, or material breach. This does not apply to claims caused by Uncommon Weather’s own conduct and remains subject to mandatory consumer-law limits.
12. Governing law and disputes
Before filing a claim, send a written description and requested resolution to the notice address or email and allow 30 days for informal resolution unless urgent relief or mandatory law makes that impractical. Oklahoma law governs without regard to conflicts rules. Subject to mandatory consumer venue rights, state and federal courts serving Oklahoma County, Oklahoma have exclusive jurisdiction.
These Terms do not require arbitration and do not contain a class-action waiver. Nothing limits eligible small-claims proceedings or non-waivable rights.
13. Changes and document evidence
Material changes receive a new version and require a new affirmative acceptance before ordinary use. Immutable archived copies and SHA-256 hashes identify what was presented. Continued use alone does not silently create acceptance of a materially changed document.
14. Assignment, severability, and notices
You may not assign this agreement without consent. We may assign it with the app, business, merger, reorganization, or asset sale subject to applicable law and required notice or consent. If a provision is unenforceable it will be limited to the minimum necessary and the remainder continues. Failure to enforce is not a waiver. Neither party is liable for delay caused by events beyond reasonable control.
